Walked to Christ Church and just enjoyed it from the outside. Walked over to St. Patrick's Cathedral..WOW! Another beautiful building in which to honor God. Not sure how many cathedrals/castles one can see before they become old-hat but we aren't there yet!!
Made our way back to the us stop where we sat with Frank (a Dublinite!) and he told us all about the game of Hurling of which he'd just returned from a tournament that his team won after a 53 year winning drought. He was pumped! Actually watching a recap of it on the TV while enjoying beautiful Irish music in the restaurant here at the Hilton. What fun to learn about a new sport. It is so much fun to chat with folks who live here. Speaking of, met two lovely ladies here at the Hilton in the ladies room that told me all the out of the way places to visit while we are in Galway and Killarney Town the next 3 days. Roy is currently enjoying a pint of Guinness while listening to music...he is loving this..do you detect a bit of a jig in my typing??!
So happy to know you all made it to Ireland to hook up with Mike and Peggy. As we all know your ability to meet new people and discover adventure, we are all very happy to hear all about it...it really does make us feel like we are experiencing it with you! Or perhaps extremely jealous that we aren't there with you :) xoxo -ring
